Noon & GCC Marketplace Services
Onboarding, catalog and marketplace operations for Noon UAE and Saudi Arabia, and broader GCC marketplace support.
Noon is one of the leading marketplaces in the Gulf, with separate storefronts for the UAE and Saudi Arabia and a further marketplace in Egypt. EcomGuru helps brands and regional distributors onboard as noon sellers, build a catalog that works in Arabic and English, price for each market, and run the account on an ongoing basis.
Selling on noon is not a copy-and-paste of an Amazon or Shopify catalogue. Each market has its own currency, documentation, fee structure, fulfilment options and buyer expectations, and the seller model you choose determines how much of pricing, shipping and customer service you control. The work starts with those decisions rather than with listings.
| Market | What differs |
|---|---|
| United Arab Emirates | AED pricing, UAE trade licence and VAT requirements, FBN and Direct Ship options |
| Saudi Arabia | SAR pricing, Saudi commercial registration or freelance documentation, Arabic-first content expectations |
| Egypt | EGP pricing and a separate marketplace with its own operational conditions |
What Noon and GCC work covers
Noon rewards complete product data, competitive pricing and reliable fulfilment. Our work covers the parts that determine whether the channel performs:
| Area | What we do |
|---|---|
| Onboarding and eligibility | Confirm market availability, seller type and documentation for the UAE, Saudi Arabia or Egypt |
| Seller model | Choose between Fulfilled by noon (FBN) and seller-fulfilled Direct Ship, and plan operations around it |
| Catalog and listings | Product data, categories, attributes, variants and imagery built for noon’s listing standards |
| Arabic and English content | Titles and descriptions that read naturally in both languages rather than translated word for word |
| Pricing and promotions | Market-specific pricing against referral fees, fulfilment costs and VAT |
| Advertising | Campaigns where noon’s advertising tools are available for your market and category |
| Account operations | Stock, orders, returns, disputes and performance monitoring |
Noon seller onboarding and eligibility
Onboarding starts with the legal entity and the market. Noon asks sellers for business documentation — typically a trade licence or commercial registration, identification for the authorised person, and bank details for payouts. The exact set depends on the market and the seller type: a UAE company, a Saudi company and an individual seller do not submit the same documents, and VAT registration requirements differ between the two countries. Category approvals and product compliance documents sit on top of that.
We check the entity and documentation before an application is submitted, then support the account setup itself. Approval, account activation and category decisions remain with noon; we prepare the application and the catalog so the process does not stall on missing or inconsistent information.
UAE and Saudi Arabia requirements
The two main markets are related but not interchangeable. The UAE operates in AED, with its own trade licence and VAT framework. Saudi Arabia operates in SAR, with Saudi commercial registration or, for individuals, documentation such as a freelance certificate, and a stronger expectation that product content is genuinely Arabic rather than machine-translated. Product compliance, restricted categories and labelling rules also differ between the two.
That means a catalogue cannot simply be duplicated across both storefronts. Prices need to be set per market after local fees and VAT, titles and descriptions need to be reviewed in Arabic, and fulfilment needs to be planned for each country’s network. We treat the UAE and Saudi Arabia as separate projects that share a catalog source, not as one launch.
Fulfilment: FBN, Direct Ship and what changes
Noon offers more than one way to fulfil orders, and the choice affects cost, speed and control:
- Fulfilled by noon (FBN) — stock is sent to a noon fulfilment centre; noon stores, picks, packs and delivers, and handles customer service and returns for those orders. Sellers pay referral and fulfilment fees, and stock must be forecast and replenished.
- Direct Ship (seller-fulfilled) — the seller keeps inventory and dispatches orders, with noon arranging the delivery leg. Sellers retain more control of stock and packaging but own the operational discipline.
- Express options — where available, faster handover or delivery models carry their own performance standards, such as on-time handover or delivery rates, monitored over a rolling window.
We model the fulfilment cost per unit for each option before recommending one, because the cheaper headline fee is not always the cheaper channel once storage, returns and failed deliveries are counted. Which models are available depends on the market, category and warehouse approval.
Product listings and catalog management
Noon listings depend on structured data: correct category, complete attributes, variants that group properly, dimensions and weights that match the physical product, and imagery that meets the marketplace’s standards. Missing attributes cause listings to be rejected or suppressed, and wrong dimensions produce incorrect fulfilment fees and avoidable returns.
- Category mapping and attribute completion
- Variant and size structure that displays correctly
- Bilingual titles and descriptions reviewed for meaning, not literal translation
- Dimensions and weights verified against packaging
- Image and content standards per category
- Ongoing correction of rejected, suppressed or incomplete listings
Pricing, fees and promotions
Noon charges a referral fee based on the product category and selling price, and fulfilment or shipping fees depending on the model and the parcel’s size and weight. Some categories carry tiered rates, and a minimum referral fee applies per item. Rates are reviewed periodically and differ between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, so the current rate card for the relevant market is the only reliable basis for pricing.
We build the price from landed cost, referral fee, fulfilment cost, VAT and returns exposure, then test promotions against a floor price rather than accepting discount pressure blindly. Where noon runs promotional events, participation is assessed on contribution margin, not on the size of the discount. We do not quote fee percentages as fixed facts, because they change and vary by category.
Advertising on noon
Noon’s advertising and visibility tools are not identical in every market or category, and availability changes. Where campaigns are available to your account, we run them with controlled budgets and monitor cost against the margin on the products being promoted, using tools such as the ROAS & ACOS calculator. We do not guarantee impressions, sales or return on ad spend.
Returns, compliance and seller performance
Returns are handled differently depending on the fulfilment model: under FBN, noon manages the customer-facing return process for fulfilled orders, while Direct Ship sellers handle more of it themselves. Either way, return rates affect profitability and account health, so the reasons for returns are reviewed and fixed at the listing or packaging level rather than absorbed.
Compliance covers product documentation, restricted categories, labelling and, for cross-border stock, customs and VAT treatment. Noon also monitors seller performance — cancellation rates, late dispatch, non-delivered returns and listing quality — and poor metrics can restrict visibility or selling privileges. We keep those metrics visible and correct the underlying process rather than reacting after a restriction.
Ongoing account management
After launch, the account needs routine care: stock and prices kept accurate, orders and returns monitored, disputes raised where noon’s processes allow, and listings corrected as categories and requirements change. We report on what the channel actually contributes after fees and fulfilment, and adjust assortment, pricing and content from that evidence rather than from order volume alone.

Noon and GCC FAQs
Do you cover Amazon UAE and Amazon Saudi Arabia too?
Yes. We can manage noon alongside Amazon UAE and Amazon Saudi Arabia, and we plan pricing so the channels do not undercut each other. See our UAE services and Saudi Arabia services.
Which documents are needed to sell on noon?
Typically a trade licence or commercial registration, identification for the authorised person and bank details for payouts, plus category-specific compliance documents. The exact set differs between the UAE and Saudi Arabia and by seller type, so we confirm it for your entity before applying.
Is noon available across the whole GCC?
No. Noon’s marketplaces are not present in every GCC country; its main storefronts cover the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. We confirm which marketplace applies to your target market rather than assuming regional coverage.
Should we use FBN or Direct Ship?
It depends on your stock position, forecast accuracy and cost structure. FBN shifts storage and delivery to noon but requires reliable replenishment; Direct Ship keeps control with you but adds operational discipline. We model the per-unit cost of each before recommending one.
Do you guarantee sales or a ranking on noon?
No. Sales, visibility and margin depend on products, pricing, competition and demand. We build the catalog, pricing and operational foundations and report honestly on what the data shows.
Do you handle Arabic content?
Yes. Listings are written or reviewed so the Arabic reads naturally for the market rather than as a literal translation, alongside the English version.
