Ecommerce Pricing Calculator (Free)

Get a recommended selling price from your unit costs and desired margin, then see the price after a discount, the net profit and the margin that remains.

How this calculator works

  • Cost base = unit cost + shipping + marketing.
  • Recommended price = cost base ÷ (1 − selling fee rate − desired margin).
  • Price after discount = recommended price × (1 − discount rate).
  • Net profit after discount = discounted price × (1 − selling fee rate) − cost base.
  • Margin after discount = net profit ÷ discounted price.

This shows the trap of discounting: a discount lowers both the price and the fee taken from it, but the cost base does not move, so margin falls faster than the headline percentage suggests.

What to enter

  • Unit cost, plus shipping and marketing if you want them reflected in the price.
  • Selling fees as a percentage of the sale (marketplace referral, payment processing, etc.).
  • The discount you plan to run, and the margin you want to keep.

Important

If selling fees plus your desired margin reach 100% or more, no price can deliver that margin and the tool will say so. Estimates only — confirm current fee rates before setting prices.
