How this calculator works

• Payment processing fee = price × processing rate + fixed fee per transaction.
• Refund allowance = price × refund rate (a provision for refunds and chargebacks).
• Total costs = product cost + processing fee + shipping + advertising + refund allowance + other expenses.
• Net profit = price − total costs. Net margin = profit ÷ price; ROI = profit ÷ total costs.

What to enter

• Your payment provider’s percentage rate and fixed per-transaction fee (these differ by plan and region — enter your own).
• Your average shipping cost per order, advertising cost per order and a realistic refund allowance.
• Use “other expenses” for app subscriptions, packaging or per-order fulfillment not covered above.
