How these tools work

Each calculator is a small, self-contained tool. You enter your own figures — selling price, product cost and the fees and costs that apply to you — and the tool applies the standard marketplace profit formula and shows the result. Nothing is submitted to a server, and you can copy the results to use in your own spreadsheets.

Because marketplace referral rates, fulfillment fees, storage charges and advertising costs change over time and vary by category and program, the tools deliberately do not hard-code fee tables. You enter the current rates that apply to your account, so the output stays accurate to your situation.

Using the results

  • Profit and margin show whether a product is genuinely viable after all costs — not just a healthy-looking price.
  • ROI compares the profit to the total cost to deliver that sale, so you can compare products of different price points fairly.
  • Break-even price is the minimum you can charge for a product without losing money, given your costs.
  • Break-even ACOS is the ACOS at which advertising spend is covered by contribution margin and no longer adds profit.

Important limitations

These calculators produce estimates from the numbers you enter. They are a planning aid, not a forecast or a guarantee. They do not include one-off costs such as onboarding, storage that varies with time, currency conversion, tax or category-specific surcharges unless you enter them yourself. Always reconcile against your own marketplace reports and current published fee schedules before making pricing decisions.

Need help acting on the numbers

If a calculator shows a margin problem, the fix is usually a combination of pricing, listing quality, catalog structure and advertising efficiency. EcomGuru helps established brands improve marketplace profitability across Amazon, Walmart, eBay, TikTok Shop and Shopify.
